I was working on a document on my ipad2. I switched to another app that I had minimized. When I returned to my document, all my work disappeared. I had not saved it, but I never got completely got out of it…il just minimized it as I switched to a different app for a moment. Is my work lost forever?
I’ve had this happen a lot so after everything I do I save it. I don’t think it can be retrieved once it’s lost but would like to know this there is a fix on the way. I use presentations so I haven’t used Word or Excel very much.
Hi Cabini, Robepage,
For now, it is best if you can remember to save the file before you switch away from the application, as iOS may terminate Smart Office whilst it’s in the background.
This is obviously not ideal, and we are working for a fix for this, which will be in the next version - I don’t have an exact date currently, but we hope to ship that version this month.
